BATTA provides Federal Agencies policy, guidance, and training to help maintain compliance with environmental laws and regulations, minimize environmental risk and liability, and promote environmental best management practices in support of our clients mission. The Federal Government has been a cornerstone of our consulting and testing services. All of our groups at BATTA including our lab maintain excellent relationships with many Federal Agencies and our Distinguished Armed Forces. We are expanding these relationships to International Territories and Developing Countries that are looking to the United States for guidance in solving their environmental challenges.

BATTA Environmental Associates has been serving States, Cities and Municipalities with Environmental Services since our inception in 1982. We focus on Asbestos, Lead, Mold and PCB Detection, Remediation Planning and Monitoring Services.We have longstanding relationships with many state agencies, municipalities, townships, and public works. For years we have provided quality service to these, and many other state agencies. We routinely consult with clients such as the City of Philadelphia, City of Baltimore, State of Delaware, New Castle County Delaware, the City of Wilmington and the State of Maryland to name just a few.

The needs for qualified Environmental Service within the Transportation Sector are ever growing. From capital planning to ribbon cutting, we serve as a total project resource on large- and small-scale projects. No Transportation Improvement or Enhancement Project is completed without some facet of Environmental Testing, Consulting and/or Engineering Services. BATTA is ready and equipped to provide the technical resources and knowledge to keep transportation agencies in compliance. We have been providing environmental services to diverse major transportation outlets such as SEPTA, Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT), and Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA), and State Highway Administration of Maryland (SHA), Delaware River Port Authority DRPA, Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA), and Purple Line Transit.

K-12, and Higher Education.
Throughout our history, our largest workload has undoubtedly come from public / private school districts, charter schools, and institutions of higher education. We provide schools with the standards and guidance on the management, handling, transportation and disposal of hazards such as lead dust, damaged asbestos and asthma triggers such as mold found in today's classrooms. BATTA has provided service to all of the 19 school districts in the State of Delaware. Recently we have been awarded environmental contracts with the School District of Philadelphia and various districts in Maryland. We pride ourselves on the great detail that goes into dealing with environmental issues in schools. Considering the nature of the facilities' occupants, our accurate and careful work inside any school is paramount.

BATTA Environmental Associates serves banks, property owners, developers and real estate brokers with environmental issues pertaining to commercial properties. We regularly address liability and technical issues associated with buying, selling or developing properties contaminated by hazardous substances. An Environmental Site Assessment is conducted to identify potential environmental concerns related to on-site and off-site activities. A phased approach allows the clients to maximize the information obtained while minimizing costs. BATTA begins with routine research and on-site reconnaissance.
