We Support State and Federal Brownfield Redevelopment Grants

Delaware’s Brownfields Development Program
DNREC has certified over 300 sites as brownfields which have been successfully remediated and redeveloped and placed back into productive use. The brownfields program has produced significant environmental, economic and social impact in Delaware.

Maryland’s Brownfield Redevelopment Assistance Program
MDE is continuing the Brownfields Site Assessment Initiative using federal funding to conduct site assessments at private and publicly owned Brownfields sites. Eligible sites* may receive funding for the purpose of completing a Phase I and Phase II investigation.

Pennsylvania’s Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Land Recycling Program / Brownfield Development Program
DEP’s Land Recycling Program in Central Office hosted a Brownfield Basics Webinar. DEP partnered with DCED, US EPA and NJIT to present current information about brownfields assistance and grant funding opportunities. This event aimed to increase community knowledge of specific issues, challenges and opportunities relating to the reclamation and reuse of brownfield sites.

New Jersey’s Brownfields InterAgency Work Group (IAWG)
Brownfields redevelopment is integral for New Jersey’s municipalities, and realizing the need for effective collaboration between State and Federal entities for successful Brownfields redevelopment, the New Jersey Business Action Center’s Office for Planning Advocacy have partnered with EPA’s Region II Brownfields Program, NJ Department of Environmental Protection and the Center for Creative Land Recycling to form the New Jersey Brownfields InterAgency Work Group (IAWG)

New York’s Brownfield Cleanup Program
The goal of the New York Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) is to encourage private-sector cleanups of brownfields and to promote their redevelopment as a means to revitalize economically blighted New York’s communities. The BCP is an alternative to greenfield development and is intended to remove some of the barriers to, and provide tax incentives for, the redevelopment of urban brownfields.
