Lead Dust Sampling Technician Initial

8 Hour Course

Lead Dust Clearance Testing is performed to find out whether lead dust remains after renovation, repair, or painting. It is required by HUD's LSHR regulations for most renovations. Landlords are required to provide new tenants in properties built before 1978, in which children aged six (6) and under reside, a valid certification that the property is lead safe or lead-free.  To be valid, the certificate must be based on an inspection conducted by a lead risk assessor or certified Lead Dust Sampling Technician no more than 24 months prior to the date a lease is entered into. After completing this course and passing a brief exam you will receive your certification.

The EPA requires individuals to get certified, and participate in a re-certification (4hr refresher) course every 5 years. Companies working in the State of Delaware must participate in a refresher course every 5 years!
